I have got a VCR (1 SCART) connected to Wharfedale Freeview box (2 SCARTS) which in turn is connected to TV (2 SCARTS). According to Wharfedale manual, if both the VCR and the box are on at the same time, the VCR cancels out the box. If I want to record say a film on ITV2 how can I record and watch the film at the same time?

hi denethor,
set your vcr to record the av input rather than setting a channel number.
i think you will find your vcr will record
what ever channel your freeview box is on.
good luck.
"if both the VCR and the box are on at the same time, the VCR cancels out the box" I think what they mean is that if the VCR is PLAYING, then that's what you'll see on the TV. This should not affect recording.
