Jade Goody goes to India

Jade Goody is making a four day visit to India following the Big Brother race row. The 'private' trip paid for by Jade herself, is hoped to build some peace. Her visit has already caused chaos with angry locals and television reporters following her every move and trying to find her hotel room. What do you think of Jade's visit to India? 'Is it a carefully planned PR stunt or is it a genuine peace making trip?

I think it is possibly to try and cling on to any liking the public might have had for her, lord knows why they should. Personally I think it is a sad reflection on our society when an untalented, boorish, uncouth person, can become a millionaire through so-called reality T.V. Reality it certainly is not, if Goody spoke to people in 'real life' like she spoke to Shilpa Shetty, she would more than likely get a smack in the mouth. The people who appear on these banal shows want the trappings of fame, without having to put in the effort of actually achieving anything.

I think she should have stayed in the UK. She seems to be causing more problems than good in India.

I think she has her moment(or years)of fame and its time for her dissappear. I for one will be glad to see the back of her I suspect its a last ditch attempt to salvage some credibility,but for me its goodbye /good riddance

It is obviously PR'd up to the max, but if it's done with genuine intentions then I'm not going to slag her off for it. Admitting hermistakes, taking responsibility for them , and educating herself for the future is all we can really ask. If she's serious about that, then it seems fine to me

She appears to be working on the principle that no publicity is bad publicity. After BB she was supposed to be an outcast pariah figure, but every women's magazine my wife has seen since then has her on the front cover. Presumably the publishers still believe that the great unwashed British public want to know every detail of her miserable existence, so she's more in demand now than before her racist behaviour. Looks like the money will continue to flow.
