sound problems

i am runing windows me and i am haveing problems with the sound the speakers work as i have tested them on another pc , when i try sounds and multi media in controle pannel the volume is set to low , and this can not be changed , any ideas how to get sound back ? many thanks snot

start by visiting the website of the manufacturers of your sound-card and downloading the latest drivers.

Sounds like you need to re-install the drivers. Also check in My Computer, Control Panel, System, Device Manager & see if anything's got an exclamation mark next to it. If so, you may have hardware conflicting.
