I`ve just driven ito work along a route I know well, when I was most surprised I went past a camera as I do twice a day. But today it flashed as I went past, now on this route I never exceed 30m.p.h. so I was very puzzed and then to my horror I realised that I had forgotten to put my seatbelt on. When I get the fine, do they automatically enclose a photo or do I have to ask for it?

If you were genuinely not exceeding the spped limit then I would not expect anything to happen. This has happened to me before- I went past a camera at 26mph and it flashed- nothing ever appeared in the post.

No, I know I wasn`t speeding so do not expect any fine for that. It was the fact that when they look at the photo they will see I was not wearing a seat-belt. Is that a fixed penalty as I am very worried about going to court.
If it was a speed camera they may not notice the belt, but if they do there will be no need for you to go to court, as you can plead guilty by post, if you plead not guilty the you will have to go to court, you are within your rights to ask to see the photo
I dont think they'd be able to see whether you had a seatbelt on or not. Sometimes the cameras cant even make out who is driving never mind see a seatbelt.
Aren't they triggered to flash on excess speed only - Or could they catch you doing other things - say talking on your phone?
