On the last program he said that there would be no more 'Top Gear', something that the BBC have denied.

I don't remember him saying that on the last top gear. However he responded to comments that "Top Gear would be back in the summer" by saying that it definitely would not (in his newspaper column)

This was interpreted by readers as "Top Gear will not be back", denied by the bbc. However Clarkson now claims that he just meant that it would not return for a summer special
