Sorry not sure if right topic, but it is our wedding anniversary soon, would like to see a show in London, not too corny or singy songy but a good story and some singing if you know what I mean. What have you seen that you would recommend? I was thinking of Billy Elliot, have any of you seen it ??

Blood Brothers is fantastic. It's on at the Phoenix Theatre. It's got songs but is also quite serious in parts and funny in others
We Will Rock You is very good, it`s set 300 years into the future

About the same as the bar prices at the half-time interval
Blood Brothers. Les Miserables if it is still in London. ~Enjoyed them both.
Les miserables is the best musical ever, on at the palace theatre in London.

Les Miserables is an AMAZING musical, but may be a bit heavy for an anniversary.

Mamma Mia is based on the Abba songs. Light hearted and fun, but may be a bit fluffy for you.

Blood Brothers is also wonderful, with some great humour and also some serious parts.
I really enjoyed Chicago - not seen Billy Elliot but would imagine it would be good. Also seen Mama Mia in the west end - also very good. Havent been to any shows that I could say were particularly bad right enough.

Last night went to see Hot Flush in Glasgow about women and the menopause - very funny (a bit risque at times though).

Let us know what you decide on and what you thought of it ! Have a nice time.
I only get to see shows when they tour, but Blood Brothers and Chicago are both brilliant shows.

We had Footloose here this week - that's a good one too. Not sure sure if it's still on in London, though.

I wouldn't fancy Billy Elliot, because the music in the live show is Elton John's, and I only really liked the film for the Jam and T-Rex tracks - not featured in the show, apparently.
