L Casella Copper Pot item - what is it?
I have this item that I just cannot find out what it is. The markings on it are L Casella Maker to the Admiralty & Ordnance London. I think the item number is 704. It has 3 Royalty? stamps on it where I think it has probably been checked or something, they are VR 1895, ER 1908 and GvR 1927. Each stamp is surrounded by the words Oil Standard and Gas Standard. The pot itself is copper with a pot in the middle that lifts out and looks like may be copper plate (if there is such a thing) and stands about 8" high on 3 legs. Has a small funnel on the top on one side. Has what may be a plumb line made of brass or copper to attach and has like a little windmill that may be attached somewhere. Does anyone know a site where I can find out what is? Preferably a site that is really really easy to understand as Science is not strong point of mine.
Thanks
Thanks

Thanks for that. After posting the question I came across the site you mentioned and after a quick going over I found something that seems similar so now I am in the process of reading it to see if I can get any closer! Takes some reading though! Need another site too explain some of the terminology lol
