preventing neighbours dog pooing in my garden - any ideas??

I have just moved to a new house and have found a bit on divit in the garden with old & fresh dog poo - I have filled it up and put vinegar and chilli on top only for the mut return and lay one on top. Any ideas on how I can prevent neighbours (not sure where the gog is coming from) dog pooing in my garden. I have heard that they don't like lion poo.
