Terry Hall has to be the most frustrating person in pop. I love the guy but he only releases an album every 4 or so years, and rarely tours.

Totally wrong track, obviously showing my age. Terry Hall was one of great british ventriloquists and Lenny the Lion was his partner, who's biggest fan was the father of a cetain Mr Jones and started the Lenny the Lion fan club..x lol

Mr Howard Stenton Jones, a Yorkshireman, was fairly high up in Dr Barnardoes, so anything kiddy entertainment orientated would have appealed.

This is now very strange. A month or so ago there was a pub quiz I attended (naturally my team won of course).

The format was a family fortunes style, and one of the questions was Name 8 famous Lions.

I recall I said

Elsa
Sinbar
Clarence
Leo

And Lenny was there!!! I recall most quizzers saying Whooooooooooooooooo?

We did think of 8 but for the life of me I can not remember what the others were. As the most popular answers, Joe the Lion was not mentioned by me.

Few people have heard of him, even with Mr Bowie's popularity.
