Would you spend 70K to look like your favourite star?
19 Answers
A 25-year-old woman has spent 70K on turning herself into the world's top Posh Spice lookalike. The woman copies Victoria Beckham's every hair cut and style statement. She can earn upwards of 4,000 a month doing fashion shoots and imitating Posh at parties. What do you think? Would you want to spend all day everyday being someone else?

id prefer to be normal than have my head lodged up my bum thinking i was something special!!!

I thought that 65% of women spent 75% of their time spending 30% of their disposable income in order to read two thirds of all weekly magazines produced so that they could follow 88% of the fashion and beauty tips of 99% of famous celebrities in order to look, dress and behave 100% like them?
Obviously I have rounded the numbers up, but they are 201% accurate.

According to that news item although this woman has been being Vicky B for about 6 years she spends 3,000 a year on clothes and goes to a tanning salon 3 times a week, and goes to the hairdressers every fortnight to keep hairstyle to mirror her idol. Presumably the 70k figure is an accumulation over many years, not a 10 Years Younger or Extreme Makeover extravaganza that this Q leads to believe.
My wife spends more than that on clothes in a year.
I think that possibly without the comparative looks many women will live a similar lifestyle of expenditure, without the resultant income, as that of poor little Vicky-looky-likie Camilla.
I agree with Ric.ror - the pile of garments beside a naked Victoria Beckham would be worth more.

actually, i'd quite like a job like this -earning money just to turn up to parties ...?
i wouldn'y have loads of surgery, but if i found that i naturally looked like a celeb, i would happily fake it for a few hours a week.
after all the second you clock off you are you again.
most people are defined by their jobs, at least in the eyes of others, it is often the first thing people say when asked ''who are you?''
i would think this nothing more than any other job.
