kids and their footballs!!

i live at the end of a cul de sac and during the summer i have to endure between ten and fifteen kids of varying ages playing directly outside my house. i dont mean to sound like a grumpy old man but the football is constantly thumping against my house, windows and cars driving me insane. i've asked them nicely, i've raised my voice and i've confiscated a ball that landed in my back garden. only one of the lads lives in my street and i've finally had enough. apart from moving does anyone have any solutions?? incidentally they think nothing of coming onto my property to retrieve their ball.

why dont you go to the council and ask them to put up a sign,saying no ball games in this area,i had the same problem years ago, I moved, i can understand how you feel it was a nightmare for me too, i used to dread the summer.

Put some loud classical music on; they'll find somewhere else to play you'll see!!!!

Every time they play - go and join in and play really badly - they will soon get fed up with you wanting to play and go elsewhere!!!!

Also, if they are causing or potentially causing damage to your property, you are within your rights to call out the police (community cops, don't dial 999!) they will have a word if they feel that you are in the right.
