Stopped watching StarTrek because it had gone PC. What? When was it not PC? Janeway was the best anyways.

Ha ha, yeah, what he means by 'gone PC' was that he didn't like a woman being in charge. Especially not in such a 'male' field as space travel!

I think it's inbuilt in humans to become offensive once they reach 70 any way. (can't agree that Janeway was the best mind, always had quite a crush on Jean Luc!)
Voyager was the worst of all the Trek spinoffs.
Question Author
Jean Luc is brilliant but Voyager is my favourite.
Re the Next Generation

Do any fellow trekkies find it odd that there are children on board the enterprise a combat starship ?

Also isnt it odd when the captain and Riker are on the bridge facing a threat , for example , that you have Riker
( the second in command ) sometimes giving orders , instead of the captain ?

Question Author
combat.....more like peace keeping surely???

As for Riker giving orders, he has to learn somehow.
What I meant by combat is that although their mission is to ' .... seek out new civilisations .... ' etc - they do come up against hostile and dangerous beings / situations where force is often required to be dished out and defended against - so why have children on these missions ?
As for Riker - what I mean is that in those situations it is the captain surely, that would make on the spot decisions as to what to do
Question Author
yeah I get what you mean aboyut Riker but he is Picard number one for a reason.
