Hi trinny , haven't had crowns done but share your fear of dentists . Wish you all the best and try not to worry too much , the local will help , and this time tomorrow it will all be over .:-) x
I have got about 4 crowns in all. Do not worry there is no pain with modern dentristry methods.
Like the woman said at the dentists. I would sooner have a baby than a tooth filled. Well make up your mind says dentist so I can adjust the chair. You will be fine.

Thanks bigmamma ......thats what I keep telling myself "this time tomorrow it will be over" xx

Doc Spock, I did say that to my dentist once, that I would rather give birth than visit the dentist! Thanks for your words of encouragemtent xx
Do not worry at all, it is painless and you will emerge from your dentist a new man/woman whatever.

Hiya Trinny x

I have a crown... The dentist just took and impression with some gunk, then a week later I went back for a fitting....painless :)
Question Author
hi bez.............but dont they file it down to next to nothing on the first visit? He told me to prepare for 40 mins work. Surely not 40 mins of drilling :( xx
Yes they do Trinny...but you won't feel a thing.....honest x
Question Author
40 mins of drilling!!!! bloody hell! xx
It's not so much drilling Trinnny.....I'd call it more of a filing down.
Question Author
Filing!!!!
It was ages ago I had mine done btw Trinny....but if memory serves me well......The first visit was, the dentist taking the impression....then a good clean of my teeth...it was the week after that he did the filing and fitted the crown.
Yes they do prepare the tooth, but it is a doddle do not worry I find that the thought of the treatment is very much worse than it acrually is. I promise you that you will not suffer any discomfort.
Filings ok, just as long as they don`t get carried away and file down to the nerve!...if that happens you`ll scream the fooking place down
Lol Elvis......trust you to scare the livin daylights out of Trinny.....you horror :)
Take no notice Trinny you will be fine.... x
ELVIS 68 You are being cruel, Trinny take no notice.
