Dr Who just keeps getting better and better. Thought they couldn't top last week's, but I'll bet there's a generation of kids that won't be able to look at a statue in the same way after tonight!

i love doctor who,but the last two weeks my 3yr old has been going on and on about him,it was on tonight and she just sat there and watched it all whne it had finishes she asked if it was coming on next week,i agree it gets better everytime its on

It was a great episode wasn't it? it did not matter That it was light on the Doctor . Stephen Moffat is one of the best writers of the modern series. All of his episodes have stood out.
Incidentally I think that this story must have been adapted from
a short story in the 2006 Doctor Who annual it was very similar and also written by Stephen Moffat .:-D

I watched it this morning, it was brilliant.

I loved the conversation between Sally and the Doctor on the DVD, dead funny.

I was really scared of the cybermen when I was a kid (thought they were the cidermen) but had I been little I would have been terrified by last nights episode. mY 5 yr old wasnt effected by it in any way whatsoever, although he loves zombies and the like, so I wasnt expecting him to be.

Russell T Davies is moving on from Doctor Who after series 4, but the programme will not end until the viewing figures decline.

My daughter who is 19 and has about 30 china dolls in her bedroom came hurtling down the stairs saying their eyes were freaking her out. She was not impressed when my brother sent her a text reminding her "Don't blink"

The most recent one - 'Blink' - was indeed superb. I look forward to the end of the series where John Simm (see Life On Mars) will be making an appearance. And possibly a very significant one...

I'm a big fan of the original series (despite not being around when it was originally on) - even today - so I'm hardly judging it by standards which are that high, but I have to say that some of this series alone has been pitifully bad, though. From the top of my head:

'The Shakespeare Code' was, for my money, very poor, but just about avoided being dire.

'42' was cringeworthy.

The recent one in which the Doctor became briefly human was also a complete stinker, I felt (oh please, it had the co-ordination and writing of a very high-budget school play).

David Tennant's overall tenure as the Doctor certainly hasn't been bad so far though. There have been a few tearfully dreadful episodes, but not bad. Regarding Tennant as the Doctor himself, I think they could've done better (though also considerably worse). Ditto for his assistant.
