Yes, ITV and Telewest are planning a push button service for viewers to open accounts and bet on the match as it proceeds. It will mean you can decide on the outcome of penalties and corners before they are taken. It should be operational for the European Champions League and World Cup ganes after the service gets started in February

on sky tv there has been this function for a couple of years

they are just introducing roulette virtual horse racing and fruit machines..

terrible idea if you ask me.
