oh, this is wonderful news, I am so looking forward to it! After all, Dr Who is constantly travelling among the stars, so it's only fair one should drop in to say hello occasionally.

What is an a@re??
Speak for yourself Black Noir!

Celebrities who should stay clear of any media whatsoever are -

Tom Jones
Sean Connery
Michael Barrymore
Alan Titchmarsh
Bill Oddie

jno ...a@re was spose to be a@se but i put my@ in the wrong place (a school girl error i apologise!)

andy - agree with Tom Jones he looked like a big haired David Gest at the Diana gig on Sunday !

Thought of another one - Paul Burrell
I hope andy isn't including film in the media that Sean Connery should stay away from. They're finally bringing out The Wind and the Lion on DVD this year, at last - magnificent! That and The Man who Would be King and Robin and Marian, all in a row in the 1970s, make an absolutely stunning trilogy of adventure movies and for that I would even forgive him his dumb remarks about beating your wife. (I wouldn't marry him, though.)

Okay Black Noir, glad you've got your a@se in the right place!
lol shouldn't it be @rse? that makes much more sense

DOH slaps head !!
I am actually jno!

I think Sir Sean (Why? He sports a tattoo saying 'Scotland Forever' and pays his considerable taxes in Marbella!) is possibly the most one-dimensional actor on the planet. he is always always always Sean Connery, he has the acting range of a filing cabinet.

And to top it all, in 'The Untouchables', he played an Irish cop of no-fixed-accent (as usual) and got a bleepin' Oscar for it!!!!

OK, I have to go now, i can feel one of my 'heads' coming on .. discreet thud ... silence ...
well, I've heard people say that, andy... they said it of John Wayne too, of course... and yet I find Robin and Marian one of the romantic films ever made, full of love and nostalgia and regret, and marked by wonderful acting all around (you mightn't guess from it that Audrey Hepburn was older than Connery). There's really no resemblance between his character there and in Dr No for instance, let alone The Untouchables. I haven't got that much time for his recent stuff, but his work in the 70s was superb.
Pfft!!! Theres not going to be many more episodes with David as Dr Who.......and one of them has to be ruined by her appearance!
Saying that, I didnt think I was going to enjoy last years xmas special, but I was pleasantly surprised!
Bet the Kylie episode is the most watched ever on this planet and the rest.

jno is that the man who would be king with the red uniforms and michael caine? and Robin and Marian i have to agree is stunningly filmed.

for my first ever diisagreement with andy, can i say, lemon sherbert.
I keep reading on forums that David Tennant is leaving during the fourth series, but is it official, as in given out by the BBC, or is it another of those tabloid/internet rumours?
Pssst, Andy. Don't you know it's against the law to say anything remotely derogatory against Saint Sean? Any suggestion that he's a misogynistic, tax-dodging hypocrite whose acting makes the kid who plays Ben in Eastenders look like Robert De Niro is widely frowned upon (even if it is completely true - whoops).
Hey dot., we've done rather well to get this far - and still friends, even though we don't see eye to eye over Sir Sean.

A template for AB relationships everywhere I think!
OK littleoldme, I won't tell them if you don't!
that's the one, dot, him singing 'The son of God goes forth to war' as they cut the bridge down. The film was originally planned 30 years earlier, I believe, for Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy, but Caine and Connery are tremendous.

The previous two Doctor Who Christmas Specials have had very good veiwing figures, so I sure this will get good figures too, with or without Kyle.
I'm looking forward to it, and to Katherine Tate coming back in the next series as her character Donna.
There has been no official announcement, but it is expected that David Tennant will leave at the end of the next series, along with Russell T Davies.
Surely she must be playing the role as herself as there was one time the doctor has been rambling on in the past and then stopped and said, hang on, no that was Kylie !
