Pacey and Jack's landlady is supposed to be British, but I have heard 4 different accents, the main one being BBC English, slipping into cockney, with some northern vowels slipping in. I've also heard some American ones as well, which often happens when British people are there for a while. Where is she really from, as I can clearly hear her struggling to maintain her BBC posh accent, so it clearly isn't Chelsea or Kensington however hard she tries to pretend.

If You know her characters name, click on the link below, then her name on the show. This will tell you which programmes she has been in before and maybe give you some idea if she is English or not. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118300/fullcredits
Hmmm, I see you already have the name, and it's not on the cast list, sorry
Found this on IMDB, hope it helps, it would appear She is American, by the Movies she's been in. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0336826/

Thanks John, I think that makes a case for the prosecution beyond reasonable doubt (until I can prove it 100%). No English person ever mixes up English accents, they only slip into their own. She was all over the place, a dead giveaway. I can think of a hundred talented British actresses only too pleased to take the part, and do it properly as well.

On a tangent (though it is still a valuable nugget of trivia) I only just found out that Gillian Anderson (Scully in X files) is English- she sounds like a Sloane ranger! She has lived in the States for years, but has not a trace of it in reality, like Frasier's father who put on a perfect American accent when he moved to the States in middle age. Shows we can rise to the occasion when we have to ;)
