Nicolas Cage video/movie theme

I was watching a music channel last night and a song came on. Looks like an Americal rock band sang it and in the background there was clips of Nicolas Cage in a film.

The only word I can remember from the song was broken.

Totally meagre information I know but if anyone can help as Its doing my head in what this song is!

Yeah I did put that in my first answer... the Goo goo dolls and song is called Iris...

Also Ronan Keating did a rather lame cover version which seemed like a karaoke rip off...lol
