Can anyone please tell me the name of the swing music used as the signature tune to the Jeeves and Wooster series on ITV and possibly where to obtain it?

Although it sounds like an old 1920s style number, it was in fact composed especially for the series by composer (and former Art Of Noise member) Anne Dudley. It's just called Jeeves & Wooster Theme and is on the soundtrack album, but sadly doesn't seem to be generally available any more. :-(

E-bay perhaps?
Are you a fellow fan of this brilliant series , or just the music ?

Please tell me i'm not the only one
I am a huge fan too. :)
Strewth , Ethel that was quick :-)

I only came across this series by accident some years ago while channel hopping .

I remember seeing it and I was going to skip to another channel , because it did not at first glance seem like the sort of thing i would be interested in - but for some reason i continued watching it to see what it was about - all the time with the intention of turning over in a minute , but never did and watched the whole episode .
Ever since i have been hooked and HAVE to watch it whenever i'm aware it is on

I just think the characters of Jeeves and Wooster are played brilliantly by messrs Fry and laurie - i cannot imagine anyone else playing the parts - can you ?

I love the fact that jeeves always has a knowledge of any subject under the sun - and the way he speaks using highly crafted sentences and words not commonly used by the ordinary person out there

As for the lovable wooster character - i again love the way Hugh Laurie plays him, with the various mannerisms

And the glamour, too - the beautiful costumes, and elegance that we just don't get today.

Terrific humour, from slapstick to very subtle play on words that make me chuckle.

I was also interested to see all the other programmes Anne Dudley has composed music for, including the film The Full Monty and the tv series Kavanagh. Talented lady.
Quite , Ethel

By the way I didn't know Anne Dudley composed the music for those as well
