Kill Bill DVD - impossible to open!
9 Answers
I've just bought Kill Bill on DVD. I got it home and took off the cellophane wrap. On the side of the case there is a red tab that stops you from opening the box. I've just had to cut the damn thing off just to open the box. Has anyone else encountered this device. I've now ruined the case so will be taking it back to HMV tomorrow.

If you take it back to where you nought it from they have a device top remove it. This is a very new procedure but you will be seeing it on all games and dvds in the future.
No if he takes his dvd in with his receipt they should swap it for him for a new one - de-tagged. As far as I am aware it is known as 'Red tag'. It is about 8 inches long, they are a reusable tagging device, to save on all the plastic being used for the old security tags, plus they a safer for companies and the environment as it is possible to re-activate them after each use. If Starsky has lost his reciept they should still change it for him as there are few stores who have managed to get this system under way so far - as it is a mammoth task. Plus it is the stores fault for not removing the tag in the beggining.
Not exactly - we use what is called common sense and good judgement - plus when a bulk theft happens a major company like this would let all other stores know - there for not opening said dvds. Plus you would ask where the dvd was bought and if in doubt contact that store and they can track the last day of sale of that item - which is handy for a non chart item.
