what's the significance of roger's arm on corrie? Is it just a daft side story or do you think he's meant to have had a stroke?

it all ties in with the leanne battersby restaurant story, he lent her all his saving, 10 grand, for the restaurant, done his arm in while moving a bath or something at work, cant pay his rent because he cant work, so been kicked out,hasnt any saving, so janice asked him to move in, but where the story line goes is anyones guess, maybe leanne will pay the debt in kind??
