why is angel cancelled?

why has the show ending on series 5, personally I think the show was getting much better in this series.

Because it wasn't making the studio enough money. A show may be the greatest, most dramatic and innovative creation ever, but if not enough people watch it, it's not going to survive long.

Actually, The Network said to the people at Angel "If you dont get your ratings up your gone" and even though Angel's rating were at an all time high for the fifth series they still cancelled it...
