if you have a child who's dream it is to be a star and they have no talent, do you encourage them to do something like audition for x factor anyway? im not a parent and i see these kids doing really badly on these programmes and they say - 'everyone tells me i have an amazing voice' or is it when your child sings you kind of hear something we dont hear? i dont get how a parent can tell these kids they have talent and encourage them when they dont!

Like the red headed girl who said she had 'natural talent'. Don't they have friends who can tell them they can't sing for toffee?!

Some parents are scared to tell there children the truth - eg like the red hair girl, she was obvioulsy so spoilt - her parents just buy her things and tell her how good she is, in everything she does... Im 29 weeks pregnant with a girl, and im hoping to get her into ballet from the age of 2/3 but if its something she really dosent enjoy as she gets older id never push her to do it. I understand what ur saying - parents should be more truthful and say - "Hunny maybe joing the netball team is something u might be abit better at" lol x
