cos colour uns are just as cheap these days - black and white tellys were the "poor mans option" but now they are about the same price

i think 'darth' you've missed the point. all tele's these days are silver in colour. not black. why?

Because the manufacturers decided that we needed silver ones.

Because silver tele's are much nicer looking, and tie in with home furnishings.
