I am just in process of downloading and saving for posperity all the Fawlty Towers episodes.

I have never seen any Ricky Gervais stuff.

Are they as good as each other, is one better or or they in different worlds.

I never saw Frasier either, but a mate same age said they were brilliant.

My experience of American Humour dates back to when Goldie Hawn was in something. Two brothers I think. Rubbish I thought.

Ricky Gervais does nothing for me i have to say. Fawlty towers on the other hand, is timeless, a classic as are a lot of the 70's sitcoms! pre P.C days!

american comedy can be good but it can aloso be awful.
I adored friends, Cheers was good, Rosanne was excellent and frazier was ok. Eddie the dog was my personal fave in that series! Comedy genius!!!!!

I hated friends, mainly because my 2 daughters loved it so much.

Ronnie Barker was a comic genius but Corbett played his part. My favourite ever comedy sketch is the fork handles! Love it so much, never fails to make me laugh out loud.
Does anyone remember Clarence????? What a series and Barkers last.. It was fantastic. Comedy as it should be .


Only fools is the best sitcom ever and the same applies, can watch it over and over again.

Unfortunately Friends has been on too much. I dont think Channel 4 have any other programmes. Still, it was good when it was first on.

Ricky Gervais 'Office' is very very good, but his stand-ups are ruined by smugness and gratuitous foul language.
