Third night running and definitely my last. Zzzzzzzzz - goodness me, I quite liked Ramsay before, he was passionate, showed the odd bit of compassion and was quite entertaining, with the obligatory f this f that, but watching him is now tedious - why go back to the basic formula and have enough vanity to think that this is again compulsive viewing?? Tonight he was just plain aggravating, hassling James and repeating his name (while my knuckles were turning red) trying to get some response out of him, and telling him to compose himself. Excuse me? maybe GR should shut it sometimes and let people get on with it, and let the moment pass. Also I was riled at him calling the maitre d' or manager (not sure of his possie) fcukface for absolutely no reason, other than for the fact that he was in front of a camera. What an absolute bore. Bring on some light relief please. What do you think?
I must admit, I really like it. I think Gordon Ramsay is excellent entertainment, I admit he is quite a hard task master but then he IS a perfectionist. If he wasn't he wouldn't be the best chef in the world that he is. What I do like about him is that he is as quick to give praise as he is to tell someone their cooking isn't up to scratch.
What people forget is that whatever goes out into the restaurant has a direct effect on his reputation. The food HAS to be perfect. Celebrities who came forward for this must have had some idea of what they were letting themselves in for. I've worked in a restaurant before and I know just how much hard work goes into each and every meal.
The celebrity who is getting on my nerves at the moment is Amanda Barrie.
