Deal or No Deal competition fix?

I'm probably being a bit overly sceptical, but.... the deal or no deal phone in compeition used to be that you would ring in, then at the end they'd reveal the amount of money the winner had won. It looks like it's changed because of all the scandals, and now they show the amount before you ring in. Well it seems that the large prize was rarely picked before, but now people know the prize before they ring in and it seems to be the large prize more oftern - seems to me like they fixed it before to be small (to avoid giving away the big prize) and fix it now to be big (to get more people ringing in). I'm probably being a bit cynical, but I wonder if anyone checks whether the amounts coming out are as expected? - i.e. does the big prize come out about 1 in 3? I would bet my life savings it didn't before they changed the way the compeitiion ran!

Does anyone else think it's a big fix?

Not sure I follow you totally but it has been a long day Emu....
The box opening is recorded weeks in adv ance as is the show. The calls, I presume , are done live on the day the show is broadcast. When Noel says 'well done to you' it is because they do not know the winner, only the amount in the box.
Not sure as to the fix, I thought the box opening was random good/bad luck

Oh, just watched it how odd!!!! Seems they phone in, a week in advance of the draw being shown, still though, the draw is not live
