I simply have to come in here. I spent a couple of hours in the company of Mr.McGowan not long ago, and in all sincerity he is a modest, decent man who's also very bright and funny (his impressions, of course, are remarkable). There is absolutely nothing creepy or dodgy about him. I do think people should never be judged on appearance or assumption, but on first-hand experience...and I very much doubt anyone would be negative about him if they met him.

It was funny to have him chasing his scottish roots all over the place only to find out he ias actually Indian/Irish.He looked absolutely gobsmacked. I don't have anything against the man,I just can't stand impressionists.

Daffy, it was quite contrasting that he indeed was of Irish origin. Because John Hurt, who was always harping on about his Irish ancestry, hasn't got a Paddy bone in his body!!!!

I like him - an ordinary looking guy with no pretentions. Certainly not creepy.
