I believe its important to ensure your provider check this. Additionally, demand that they identify the root end to the call. This means to identify whether its a mobile or a land line.
Unfortunately, our nation is targeted for a large number of frauds. One is that you will see a local number, that actually auto-switches to a premium rate number, or which I think is in your case, a possible dial-back tracer, where they are picking up all the numbers you call. The reason I believe this may be the case is due to the extra number you allude to, which sounds like a number of Russian exchange numbers.
Indeed, contact OFTEL and OFCOM for advice. If the cost of these calls have been shown as minimum, with less than 10 seconds air time, the provider is bound to remove the call cost. Finally, ensure you are not accidentally dialling numbers through motion, by failing to lock your phone. I ran up a 210 bill three years ago, when my phone accidentally became unlocked whilst I was riding in a World War 2 jeep, across Moldova! My fault, my bill!
I wish you success in your endeavours

Panic: So truethe challenge is when abroad and I need instant access to send and receive communications between some rather obscure countries. Unfortunately, especially outside the EU, PAYG simply doesnt work. But I certainly agree with you!
Ouch! It hurt!
Gina: Im now even more convinced youre felling prey to what is called a router. May I suggest that you make one last attempt with 3 (whom I understand many people dont hold in very high regard), insist on speaking with a supervisor and explain the situation. If you do not receive satisfaction, ask the supervisor to transfer you to the fraud section (believe me, they have one!)
Im sure this has nothing to do with ithowever, as my irritation grew from these all these marketing calls from the sub-continent telling me I had been specially selected to receive the impressive R2ZOMGFU2 phone, with a gazillion zillion free minutes, unlimited texting between Bandar Seri Begawan and Port Vila Vanuatu and free ring dings, I noticed that every one of the callers said the phone would be with the 3 network.
Ahone last thingif you r e a l l y want to get out, you can, however, it must be based on the fact that 3 simply isnt serving where you spend most of your timesuch as a boyfriends address, parents, etc.
I wish you the best of luck
