Hymn or song title

Another song, probably a hymn, we sang at school back in the 1940`s - 50`s contained the words - ".....A Vision Flamed (Flared?) Above..........." The phrase came about half way through a chorus, I think. This one has bugged me for years - you`re my last hope! 711

Hi 711, I can't think of any hymn with "a vision flamed above". Could it have been: Be thou my vision? by any chance. If not, good luck with your search.
