Old rhymes

My Grandad used to say this little rhyme/tale to me and I can't remember how it ends, does anyone know it? "Shall I tell you a tale, about a snail?, Shall I begin it? That's all that's in it. Shall I tell you another, about his brother ...................." Do you know how it ends? Please help it's been bugging me for a while, and Grandad isn't around to ask any more and noone else remembers it

I'll tell you a story about Jack-a-Nory
and now my story's begun,
I'll tell you another
about his brother
and now my story is done

I'll tell you a tale about a snail
that jumped in a fire and burnt his tail

and 'e nailed it to the wall

Could be, I honestly can't remember, oh I am cross that I didn't ask him when he was around!
