Was watching a film last night and I was wondering who played a certain character so I watched for the credits at the end. When they came up they were immediately squished to the side while the channel advertised something else. By the time they came back to regular screen size the character/actor credits had passed. I have noticed this on quite a few channels recently so my question is:
Is it just me or does anyone else find this really annoying?
Morning redcrx I am fine, hope you are doing well too.
It usually happens when mrwarpig and I disagree as to who was playing a certain part. Then the discussion will go on until one of us can be bothered to check it in the magazine or on the internet (usually me as I am always so sure I am right even when I am wrong).
Yes it is annoying! Im often looking out for songs Ive heard during the film and liked and my eyesight is bad enough without them squishing the credits..........or.........they show so much of the credits then cut it off short before its got to the bit youre looking out for!
Now a totally unrelated question for you warpig lol Have you been getting any braxton hicks yet?
Thats it exactly pippa, the other stuff they tell you is irrelevant to me as I can check it myself.
Ethel, the only problem with me checking it online is that if its a film I use IMDB and I end up being on it for hours following interesting links and I mean hours!
I should add that this only arises for more minor characters and the tv magazine doesn't normally mention them.
Ive been getting them for a few days now and theyre beginning to drive me nuts! I never had any at all with my daughter and starting to get a little concerned its a sign things are going to happen a little too soon!
But then again, Im probably just over reacting and worrying for nothing like I do with everything else! lol
Morning warpig - hope you and baby warpig are just fine - and don't worry - certainly not about annoying film credits, though I do agree, they always squish them when you really want to know who played what or where it was filmed.
Mr seekeerz is just telling me my dinner's ready and to come get it before he feeds it to the dogs, so I'd better go - catch up with you soon and you take care S xx
I agree with you warpig it drives me nuts, as does presenters talking the instant the programme or film finishes completely ruining any atmosphere. The worst offender ever was at the end of Casanova with David Tennant - at the very end of the programme is some beautiful music and a lovely romantic final scene - completely ruined by a talkover for 'coming next' grrrrrrr.
(I love the credits at the cinema too and of course if you leave early you can miss so much - like all the little 'final' scenes at the end of the Pirates films!)
ps we buy the Radio Times because they have a cast list for most programmes.
