Where is Neighbours?!

I switched over to watch Neighbours at lunch time today and it wasn't on, and again at tea time we had to put up with trash in the attic. Any ideas if it's coming back, I know it is going to channel 5 but didn't think it was this soon. Thanks in advance.x

OMG I was so angry when I saw that Cash in the attic was on instead of Neighbours at 5.35. So, is it true that it will no longer be on BBC1 and will be on Chan5 instead?

Yes, Monday 7th January is when Neighbours return to BBC1. It leaves the BBC altogether sometime in the Spring of 2008 and moves to Five presumably immediately.

God, i cant believe this! Why does it need a xmas break? I hope channel 5 doesnt mess it up when it starts on there!

It needs a Christmas break here because that's what they have in Oz, only theirs is longer than ours. If we didn't have a break now and again, we'd catch up with them. That would mean, a) we'd have an even longer break each year and b) I think it would breach certain contractual obligations on the part of the the TV and production companies concerned.

That all sounds very technical saxy, do you work at the beebs or something? If you do can you tell the head of broadcasting that I'm boycotting bbc 1 every day at 5.35pm - 6.00pm untill the 7th Jan. Hopefully the ratings will plummet so much that they are forced to air Neighbours again!! Or not!!

doesn't it disappear in the summer as well so the episodes can catch up? When it used to be on in the beginning we were about 2 years behind now were watching it the same year they are filming. I was a bit gutted not to watch it, especially with Pepper's hottie boyfriend. I am so sick of daytime telly it is absolute cack!!!!!

etc etc its all junk and houses or jeremy kyle I need to get a life programmes and I don't watch any of it!
