Due to inflation most ltd companies. i.e most of the high street retail chains expect year on year growth. They have share dividends to pay and villages to decimate with thier next hyer/super retail park.
If they do not get that growth or it is not as high as expected this is perceived as a very poor show. Many declared losses are not infact what you or I would call a loss i.e last year we made 100k this year we lost 20k meaning from our own resources we had to subsidise our busines.
No they mean they only(?) made 80k as opposed 100k year on year and lost 20k.
Next how the greedy banks caused thier own credit crunch which we are paying for.
