Is it me or are his most famous roles in Rebus, Messiah and The Vice all the bloody same!!!!

I really can't decide whether he is a good gritty actor or a trifle repetitive.

Yeah I saw a scene on Jonathan Ross and I thought........

"Oh look its Rebus with a funny accent"
He is a bit samey!
I used to like Messiah the best.
watch hi in taking over the asylum - he was great and not gritty
Repetitive - same character whatever he plays. Can't watch him now.
I think he has been typecast - can you ever imagine him in any other type of role? I must say tho he is brill in Messiah
He is a bit typecast but I think he's a good actor.

The new series of 'Messiah', I have to say was no where near as gripping as what I was expecting. I usually get spooked by these dramas, but didn't require to hide behind my cushion once. Marc Warren is very talented, but will never replace the superb talents of Ken Stott, not to mention he is rather gorgeous so maybe I am a wee bit biased.
