I hope you never have to experience it Lankeela, but there are times, even when you least expect it, and particulary when you are up in years, you just know a person has gone.
You don't panic or try pointless revival. Jack's reaction was typical when he said ' You haven't left me have you'
It's a feeling of numbness . Poor Bill Tarmey acted it out so well and would probably be the first to admit it was their most difficult scene ever.
I love corrie and will miss Jack and Vera very much

I agree Carol Anne, when you've been with someone for so long it's instinct to know every look, movement (or non movement!) of the other person. My sister works in the funeral business & she thought it was well done & very typical of how many people react, including the neighbour's responses when Jack told them what had happened. Is Jack still going to leave or will he stay now?

Yes, Carol Anne is exactly right. The whole thing was very realistic and very well acted.

Liz Dawn did very well too, a hard scene to do, but certainly I did identify with his reaction because when my Mum passed lying right next to me, I knew immediately and she went so cold so very quickly, I could tell that they had all really thought about the whole scene.

Robina and others, It was perfect for all the reasons some of you picked up on. Personally the most touching moment was when he covered her with his coat and brushed her hair, this set me off as I recollected when I found my younger brother dead ,my instincts were the same - a rush of shock, awareness and those moments alone before formalities take over. All very moving and briliantly acted with the soul of sencitivity by all.

I hope you never experience a death Lankeela, especially when you find someone as you simply know they have gone and it is pointless to attempt resus. Jack's reactions were what a lot of people do.

I'm afraid I cried like a baby. Probably wouldn't have in normal circumstances but I've just lost my dear mum too and I'm still raw from that. Yes It was well done by all concerned.
