Awful, awful film! Story-wise it handles its subject matter in a tasteless and over simplified way, and technically it was a poor attempt at Hitchcock. (See 'What Lies Beneath' for a better tribute to this genre.)

I hated What Lies Beneath. Thought it was tacky. Loved Gothika! Thought it was an excellent film, very original I thought. It is true how Psychiatrists don't 'listen with their heart' as Penelope Cruz said as the beginning of the film. And to find out that your husband was a rapist and murderer, I can't even begin to imagine how I wouold actually feel. Top film, definite 10/10 for me!
