A lot has been discussed about the Michelle / Alex / Ryan storyline in Coronation Street. Is there any one particular story line that would make you think that a soap / series had gone one storyline too far and put you off watching temporarily / permanently?

For example sometimes I get fed up with the amount of infedelity in programmes, as though no one couple can be faithful or when a dead man steps out of the shower, because it was a dream...............

I dont ever stop watching something permanently if i usually enojy watching it. I just wait until the storyline goes away then start watching it again! Anything thats too far fetched dries me mad! lol
or even drives me mad! lol
yes eastenders, all their storylines stop me watching i think its rubbish
I have NEVER watched Corrie or Emerdale. I stopped watching eastenders about 4 yrs ago.

They are all sh1t
I don't watch any of the soaps at all so just their existence makes me switch off/over. I do watch dramas such as ER,House,CSI etc. and can't think of anything that has made me temporarily stop watching them(storyline-wise).
In conversation with a friend several months ago.............the only 'long-term' marriage across the soaps we could think of was Jack and Vera Duckworth..........and look what happened there !!!

I stopped watching Eastenders around the time of the 'gangsters'..........I had a look a couple of weeks ago and everyone was being held hostage in The Vic.

I shan't hurry back !
I stopped watching Eastenders years ago when Den and Angie came out of it. I am so glad I did, because when I catch a glimpse of it now, it seems to be the most depressing programme on the telly!
The thing that bugs me about Soaps is that it seems whenever there are 2 gay characters they always fall in love.
Coronation Street used to portray life up north in a pretty true way, but with added humour. These days it seems to've gone the way of the rest - ridiculous storylines, etc. How come no one mentions people who've supposedly left the street? Wouldn't people keep in touch with friends and neighbours? How do people manage to dress the way they do/pay their mortgages/always be in the pub - on the wages that their "jobs" are supposed to pay???
What pushes me to turn off?

Well the Charlie touching Yolande's bum storyline is a serious contender.................................

I must admit that was an awful story line. Why was so much time wasted on him touching her bum? It got kind of embarrasing to watch and that is when I switch off or over.
How you always know when an affair starts they will be found out, not one soap character has not been found out. And so many people get away with it in real life
and I;ve noticed whenever the babys real father or mothers identity has been hidden, the child always ends up with something wrong that requires dah dah daaaaahhh A blood test!! Oh noooooo
