Can someone please tell me what everyone is going on about when they say "s.w's to you". She says it, the audience say it and I feel left out! Help please.

'Steve Wright's' apparently........??!!
...well don't ask me, :o) I'm just supplying an answer, I don't listen to her

OMG It's hard to describe how much I dislike Sarah Kennedy!
When Steve Wright reads out a mesasge from a listener, he always includes the bit at the end where they say something like: 'good show' or 'I'm a big fan' etc, etc. When Sarah Kennedy reads out a message with similar complimentary comments, she just refers to them as SW's - after Steve Wright.

Thanks for these everyone. Still don't fully understand though. I'm not that keen on Sarah Kennedy either - just a noise to wake up to and then we get onto Terry and he's a different kettle of fish!
mmm amazingly I wake up to her every working day , she annoys me to death , so out of touch in my opinion and some of the listeners writing in , they must be on drugs .....
yeaaaacccchhhhhh I switched to radio 5 live in the am....Sarah Kennedy's music choice was so bad it was better to have none at all, and definitely no Chris Moyles either!
It's actually the listeners who write 'SWs to you' (rather than Sarah re-writing the text of their letters).

As others have indicated, many listeners noted that Steve Wright only ever seems to read out letters and emails which include things like "Great show, Steve. You're the best thing on radio". (i.e. Steve Wright's ego is about the same size as Jonathan Ross's vanity, Chris Evans' bank balance and Terry Wogan's holiday entitlement - Massive!). After this was mentioned by Sarah Kennedy, listeners started to write to her and adding "Steve Wrights to you". This soon got shortened to 'SWs to you'.

Sarah's broadcasts often seem to need a translator for the uninitiated. Her frequent absences are nearly always attributed to problems with her 'chesticles'. Someone with a badly tuned radio could easily wonder if she was really female ;-)

Chris
Why don`t you critics wake up to your local radio progs instead of saying cruel things about radio presenters? You all have an on and off switch. I like Sarah and Terry, but can`t stand JR
Aha, all becomes clear Chris, thanks! I'd rather listen to Steve, big ego or not, than Sarah though....most of the time I do listen to local radio stations.
