Can someone please explain wha happened at the end of the ninth gate. or all of it. i couldnt work it out when i watched it and i don't hav it on video. help! it was a great film with a brilliant lead actor (johnny depp). if only i could understand it...............

What's not to understand?

The person who obtained all nine of the original drawings from the books which were supposed to have been drawn by lucifer could complete the spell and have power, money etc.

basically johnny depp was the devil and didn't really know it, or he was just stringing all those people along. I guess at the end he was going to hell with that freaky witch woman. But she wasn't the devil, he was, definately. Anyway it's supposed to be confusing
