Sony tv problem

When I turn on my tv it keeps clicking on and off ---each time staying on a little longer until about 15 minutes later, when it stays on permanently and has good sound and picture. Why does it click on and off for that first 15 minutes?

Sounds like a power supply or HT problem depending on if your tv is a CRT (old style) or not.
Try your local tv repair shop in the Yellow Pages.

Thank you to those that responded to my question. I found out that it was the picture tube that was on its way to dying and sure enough, it has finally taken its last surge and died.
