noisy neighbours

Does, anybody know what i can do with my neighbours,
every weekend they play their music. May i add, very loud bass music vibrating through the wall. All last night, until: 3:30 this morning, and its started again at 5:30 this afternoon.
I've tryed to talk to them and they just turn it down, and just turn it back up again.
I've rang the police, they can't do anything. I've rang the noise complaints office, they just report it to the council on monday and they can't send anybody out either.

Any advice you have got will be helpful!!

Report them!!

Keep a diary and present it to the council when you make your complaint!

They will send somebody around to check it out and verify.

If it is that bad, call the police!

i`m sorry, i`ll try to be quiet, but take a look at yourself! we play loud music with the bass up so we dont have to listen to you shouting and complaining all the time! dont forget my brother works for the council

Try waiting until they go to bed, get your speakers up against their wall and play the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's version of Onward Christian Soldiers over and over and over again, on full blast. Go out whilst it's on!

Hmmm, there isnt much you can do i am afraid.
Like funnygirl says, keep a diary and inform the council.
I think your better off posting this Q in the Law section. You might get a lot better help.
Most on this chatterbox are probably still drunk and suffering from the come down of an drug fuelled weekend.

If you live in a council property, you should report to them, you could also try ringing 101 to report them, if all else fails, burn their house down!! ( Only joking on last one!)

phone the enviromentall services and make a complaint and ask for a dairy to record it date times.
And at some point they will come out and do a spot check on neighbours from your house to listen and if they think they have grounds they will confront them and explain to them the problem with there base on the music coming through in to your house.If they continue they will install a microphone and it will record everything spilling in to your house and date and times if it goes that far.And they will use this in court against them.But like you say you have tried to talk to them and it sounds like that they dnt care so you have no choice start the ball rolling.It all gets logged and goes back to the local housing.

Hello mech , what a nightmare for you . You should be able to get a proper form from the environmental section off the council . You keep 2 weeks or so of writing in and recording times dates and type of noise , and then send that back for them to assess . If they consider it to be of nuisance to your health and comfort they will then visit the neighbour with a warning , or will set up a tape recording to catch the level of noise , and may wish to be called at the time of disturbance if the warning hasn't worked.

My daughter had the same problem not long ago and it got so bad that asking them nicely was met with loads of abuse. She was advised by the council to keep a diary and to call the police out every time so as to get an incident number. This went on for about 2 years with the abuse getting worse until they actually threatened her and her children. They left lighted candles on her door step and when her children played in the garden they hurled objects and foul abuse at them. Anyway my daughter finally had her day in court and the 3 men who were doing this were issued with ASBOs and told not to go within 500 yards of my daughters house. They have all since moved on to pastures new annoying some other poor soul I have no doubt. I know that this seems to be a very extreme case but stick to your guns you are entitled to your own peace and quiet. classical music loud will annoy them if they are council cretins. try black angels .its really scratchy and fab, turns me on a treat!
