I cannot watch this regularly, so I guess for the last year or so, it's been hit or miss as whether I see it or not. Anyway, I know the guy who played Reg Hollis was dumped, but was the character actually written out in some way or has he just been ignored.

I can't answer the question, but I remember Reg Hollis. I gave up watching The Bill after Burnside and Roche left ... I used to enjoy it before then.
