Film about death ray

Can anyone remember a film or tv programme in the 70's that had death ray gun that turned people to dust. I only remember one scene where these people on a minibus turn to dust after being exposed to this death ray

Don't remember any death ray gun but there was a 1970s/80s US TV film called "Where Have All The People Gone?" about a massive solar flare which turned everybody (except a small group of survivors who were underground at the time) into small piles of dust. Is this it?

Hi wizard & swan04 I don't think these are the films I'm looking for. I know the year I saw this programme on TV as I had just come back from watching Star Trek Motion picture so would be 1979. Regarding the programme in question I remember seeing a guy sitting on the the ray gun out in a desert type landscape then aiming the gun at the bus and turning people to dust. Hope this helps

The only programme in the 70's with a death ray was called Quatermass,that had a death ray that turned people to dust.now on video its called "The Quatermass Solution." (Try Amazon)
