it is ok in the north west but i have not got virgin media

ITV is fine here in Blackpool. But I'm just watching the digital channel through my TV..........no provider, as such.

you should still be able to get it with normal terrestrial tv if you have an aerial connected

Just saw this and glad I did!

I'm on Freeview just NE of london, and I too have had this really horrible noise at times on ITV. Thought it was my box doing it, but maybe not.

so it isn't just virgin media from the looks of it.

I've noticed that BBC1 from Virgin Media cuts out very briefly (for about a second) around one minute to 7pm every Saturday. Both sound and picture go.
I notice it as it is just before Doctor Who.
It used to occure during the episode when Who started earlier!
