What is the site with loads of programmes for free

About a year ago there was an article in an english paper about a contriversial web site that was letting people watch episodes of hundreds of tv programmes for free. I had it on my favourites list, but my boyfriend decided to clean that out, and very helpfully(not) got rid of a lot of sites that I still wanted.
Does anyone know what site I mean?
