Can anyone tell me what the connection is between snakes and the word 'parsel' as in parseltongue and parselmouth?

Isn't it...As is, parcel (Gift) of snake speech. Like... Gift tongue. Just meaning, to be able to speak snake is a gift. Chr�ss
