There has been a lot of posts about this. I saw on the news that he had wanted the details of his illness to never be made public.

He was sufferering from cancer and did not want that info to be spread around the tabloids, hence the info clamp down. His request should be respected, so please leave it alone.

That was while he was alive tho, hardly relevant now, so don't worry about it.

I think some people were thinking the worst (aids) so it sort of came out....

jugglering sounded well harsh there. I heard that he had an aids related illness. People will always speculate if they don't know the truth, and like you I was also curious.

Perhaps, and quite rightly, it may never be disclosed. But the link above to the Sun Newspaper (for what it is worth), probably tries to allay fears of Aids. Then again, there will always be scurrilous suggestions relating to HIV. That is what some people are like . . . . . God forbid

Exactly, cos people think that if he had cancer why would he not want people to know. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
But if it was aids related people think , very wrongly, that he must have been gay. He could have had it years because of a dodgy blood transfusion.
We'll probably never know. Poor man.

What does it matter... the poor soul is dead and gone - my sympathies to his family.

He is, you are right but people aren't being nosey, they are just concerned and upset that he has died. People are always going to think that when someone famous has died.

Why can nt people respect his privacy even though he`s passed away. All this specualtion must be causing his family added distress.
