Can anyone explain to me what's happened to Joe Scully in Neighbours, and the actor that plays him? He appears to have done a disappearing act, last i heard he was helping out with a fire or something. Has he been written out as he doesn't appear in the titles anymore and his wife appears to now be in love with his brother. Is he ever to return? or has he been suspended leslie grantham stylee?

He was in Dartford in Kent two Christmas's ago for Panto! Does that help?! God I haven't watched Neighbours for about 5 years!

Something very weird must have happened, as apparently to the shock of the rest of the cast he was suddenly - and very physically marched off the set never to return. Odd, isn't it, as no explantion has been given?

Ok am holding my hands up here, being lazy i couldn't be ar$ed to google it but i have now and it seems he was sacked, no reason has been given, he wasn't allowed to say goodbye to the cast and is now suing grundy tv for $200,000 for loss of earnings and unfair dismissal as he had six months left on his contract, and they haven't decided how to write him out the show. All seems a bit ridiculous to me...

He's theoretically off helping his ailing father and brother's farm in Bendigo after a tractor accident. In reality his role is in limbo pending a courtcase Shane Connor has against Grundys for wrongful dismissal.

The fact that he's only three hours drive from his family doesn't explain why he never returns really. It is also the reason why Steph will elope. After all how else can she marry Max and not have her father present?
