60's/70's rock song lyrics question...HELP

hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify this song, I have only heard two sections of it, but the lyrics I can decipher go as follows...(there might be a small error or two...)

"people fighting out wars on the world where we live, it's a hefty cost, you mustn't forgive, some get more than they need, some people don't make it, and there's no time to grieve (for grief?), but remember this..." *cuts out*

there's also another part I heard which said "it's the call of the hills, it's the..." *cuts out*

I have searched extensively, everywhere, for the past 2 weeks with these lyrics, and had ZERO luck. the song is definitely 60/70's era, reminds me of Traffic /CSNY/Blind Faith...slow song with heavy bluesy riffing guitars.

I need this song to use for a film project I'm doing, having this song will make it perfect. can anyone help?
